Sky Blue brings together two seemingly distant worlds: memories gathered from journeys afar, and the textures of the land here in Hengchun.
- The Ruta 40 road sign on the concrete wall comes from Patagonia, Argentina. It recalls a journey to the far edge of the world—and a belief shared by the architect and host: some places, however far away, are worth travelling for.
- Closer to home, handmade shell ginger mats, woven by a Paiwan artisan, lie beside the bed. In the morning, before bare feet meet the cool concrete floor, they first touch the warmth of natural fibres. Clothes hang from a branch of native Taiwan Ebony, bringing another quiet piece of Hengchun into the room.
- The textiles are by Thai designer Sarinya Lim (SRINLIM), whose work has received both the Red Dot Design Award and Good Design Award. Blue reflects Sky Blue’s place closest to the sky, while touches of orange recall the last warmth of sunset.
From a road in Patagonia to shell ginger and Taiwan Ebony from Hengchun, and textiles from Bangkok, Sky Blue collects not simply objects, but memories of places.

A Queen-size pocket-spring mattress and carefully selected bedding are paired with a 55-inch SONY BRAVIA 4K TV, Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge wireless speaker, and concealed Panasonic air conditioning, allowing comfort, music and entertainment to blend naturally into the space.

Aesop bath and body products, a Dyson hair dryer, custom-made Wandering Walls cotton bathrobes, and a Panasonic washlet bring an added sense of comfort to the everyday rituals of your stay.
- Time to Unwind
Our signature Time to Unwind set includes Zozola handmade bath bombs and soap, a cedarwood and frankincense pillow mist, and a TTM facial mask. Not more things to do—just a gentle reminder that tonight, you don’t have to do anything at all.
- Taste of the Stay
Crate & Barrel drinkware accompanies house-roasted, natural-process coffee from Guji, Ethiopia, prepared as drip coffee, and Baozhong tea from Pinglin, the hometown of the host’s mother. A complimentary minibar includes house-made sparkling water, selected beer, Taiwanese plum shochu, juice and cola, alongside a marine-inspired home fragrance from Thailand.
At the Highest Point of Wandering Walls, Between Sea, Hills and Sky
Set at the highest point of Wandering Walls, Sky Blue offers the most expansive views of the property.
Ahead, the Taiwan Strait stretches toward the horizon; behind, acacia woodland meets the red-earth hills of Hengchun. From the blue of day to the fading light of sunset, the landscape changes quietly with the hours.
After dark, as the surrounding light recedes, the sky takes over. On clear nights, the low-light environment reveals a field of stars—and when the season and conditions align, even the Milky Way.
Here, no window frames the view.
The rooftop itself becomes a place to watch the Hengchun sky.

- A Balcony to Linger
Step outside to a balcony furnished with Crate & Barrel outdoor furniture, overlooking the surrounding landscape. Have your morning coffee here, feel the afternoon breeze, or simply sit and watch the light change—a quiet place between the room and the view.
- Private Rooftop Terrace
Continue up the stairs to Sky Blue’s private rooftop terrace, reserved exclusively for this room.
Higher, more open, and closer to the sky, the terrace is furnished with outdoor seating and a circular open-air tub. Come here for sea views, sunset, or stargazing on a clear night.
- Two Ways to Bathe
Sky Blue offers two distinctly different bathing experiences.
Indoor Bath
An indoor soaking tub and natural stone basin sit within the comfort of the air-conditioned room. Light and shadows filter through the blinds, creating a quiet and private place to soak.
Open-Sky Bath
A second, circular tub sits on the private rooftop terrace, completely open to the sky.
At dusk, watch the last light disappear beyond the horizon. After dark, soak beneath the stars on a clear night.
No roof above you. Only sky.
